VSP makes another move towards better IT utilization

An Online Human Resources Information System (HRIS) was inaugurated at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant by its Chairman and Managing Director Y Siva Sagar Rao on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion he said human resources administration and information system should be synchronized together to help in creating a paperless office which would help the company in emerging as a world class organization. He advised the VSP collective to derive the maximum benefits out of the new team headed by KA Naidu, Director (Personnel) for taking the initiative in commissioning the HRIS at the VSP.

The Online HRI System comprises all particulars in respect of each employee along with details of his career progression, pay, the service matters and details of his dependents. These details are available to all departments that require to access them in connection with their functioning. It enables services to be rendered to employees more speedily and with less hassle. Top officials have participated at the function.
