Tariff rates reduced

On the eve of Andhra Pradesh formation Day, the BSNL has announced change in pulse rate for calls from local PCOs and CCB PCOs from the existing pulse rate of 45 seconds to 60 seconds with effect from November 1, 2006. The tariff for ‘One India Plan’ has been reduced from Rs. 225 to Rs. 180. All the BSNL subscribers who are under ‘Plan 180’ will automatically migrated to ‘One India Plan’. Fifty free calls and tariff of Rs.1 per unit for call to anywhere in India will be provided to the customers of the BSNL.

It also reduced minimum guarantee revenue from urban public telephones to Rs.300 and rural public telephones to Rs.100 according to official sources.
