Project estimated Rs.2.8 crores and executed on BOT basis
The city will have a world class Wayside Amenities Park at Rushikonda by the end of 2007. The project has been sanctioned under the public private partnership initiative of the State Tourism Department and is estimated to cost Rs.2.8 crore. With an objective of providing a halt tourists traveling Bhimili road, the Wayside Amenities Park will come up on three acres at Rushikonda. The Project has been taken up by Moonland Hotels Private Limited on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis.
According to officials sources, the park will have 36 rooms for accommodation and two restaurants including one bar and restaurant. It includes an oil filling station, an Internet centre, a boutique, a general stores and an ATM centre. Parking place has been allotted to park nearly 100 four wheelers and 200 two wheelers. The new park will help enhance the city’s image as one of the best tourism destinations in the country.
