Management agrees to pay gratuity
The dispute over the lock out declared by the management of Nellimarla Jute Mill in May this year on Wednesday agreed to be functional from Thursday. Both parties have signed an interim agreement in the presence of the Deputy Labour Commissioner MN Varahala Reddy. The workers have agreed to resume work and take up its maintenance immediate. They also consented to abide by the final report of the Bureau of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction and strive to increase production within three months. The management had agreed to ay gratuity to 720 workers and settle their dues in a year. Steps were also taken to implement Employees State Insurance for apprentice workers. Indian Federation of Trade Unions vice president P Prasad and the senior General Manager of the Mill CK Jain were present on the occasion.
