Meet to focus on patient care

The Andhra Medical College (AMC) Principal CV Rao inaugurated the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Meet entitled IMA APCON 2006 on Saturday and the 48th Annual Conference of the IMA of Andhra Pradesh at AMC Old Students Association Conference Hall on Saturday. He emphasized the need to devise a strategy to provide protection to doctors from attacks of the kin of patients and urged the doctors to concentrate on patient care and professional excellence.

He expressed concern over frequent attacks on duty doctors by the relatives of the patients who die during treatment. IMA AP President Harikumar Reddy, conference organizing secretary, KHG Superintendent T. Ravi Raju and IMA Visakhapatnam president LV Raghava Rao and others participated in the annual programme.
