Many trains skip Visakhapatnam Station
From Friday, the Visakhapatnam railway station will have a bulk of its passenger and freight traffic diverted via Duvvada due to non interlocking works to be taken up by the railway authorities. Nine pairs of daily trains, 12 pairs of weekly trains and four pairs of bi-weekly trains will stop at Duvvada till the works are completed.
However, passenger trains that originate at Visakhapatnam like Godavari Express, Tirumala Express, Janma Bhoomi Express and Ratnachal express are exempted from the diversion. To catch the trains in time at Duvvada, passengers have to board special buses that are arranged at Visakhapatnam Station one hour in advance of the timings of the respective trains.
For further information, passengers can be had from nos. 0891-2587301, 2543175, 2543176, 2543177, and 2543178 at Duvvada and 134 at Visakhapatnam Station.
