Cavern project to have storage capacity of up to 60,000 tons of LPG
Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas Chairman N. Janardhana Reddy, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas(MoPNG) secretary Srinivasan and HPCL Chairman MB Lal would visit LPG cavern project at Dolphin Nose on Sunday. They will hold discussions with the senior officials of HPCL, Visakha Refinery, South Asia LPG Ltd., and Total of France and review the progress of the project. The cavern project is the first of its kind in the country can store up to 60,000 tons of LPG.
The team also discuss the modalities for the petrochemical complex proposed by the MoPNG and expansion plans of Visakha Refinery for which Rs.8000 crore is required. According to sources, the project is to be completed by 2010.
