Diabetes Meet and Diet Expo held

The Diabetes Foundation has conducted a 'Diabetes Meet and Diet Expo' at the Railway Hospital at Visakhapatnam. The expo was inaugurated by the Superintendent of the Railway Hospital Y Vijaya Lakshmi. The President of the Diabetes Foundation, Visakhapatnam Anuradha Reddy stressed on the importance of diet for a diabetic patient. She said that it is advisable to avoid food items that increase blood glucose levels.

Endocrinologist Subramanyam, Nephrologist Ravi Shankar, Panda and Viswanath participated in the program. An open house session was held where in patients asked questions related to diabetes to the experts.
