Sagar Manjusha- a specialized research cum buoy tender vessel for the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) was handed over by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on Thursday.
HSL Chairman and Managing Director Rear Admiral Ajit Tewari to NIOT director K.Prem Kumar. It is the 18th vessel built and delivered by HSL. Sagar Manjusha is a vessel of about 1000 tonnes GTG and 60 meters in length and has the power with two main engines and a speed of 12 knots. It is fully air conditioned and can accommodate 11 scientists, eight officers and 10 crew. The NIOT Director Prem Kumar appreciated the HSL.
