Final picture of local body elections arrived

1775 candidates compete for 649 for MPTCs

For the elections to local body polls, there are 1775 candidates in the fray while 649 for MPTCs. Elections to 20 out of the 39 ZPTCs will witness direct fight between the Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The Congress is in fray in all the 39 ZPTCs while the TDP is contesting 33 and CPI (M) six and the CPI fielded is candidates in four ZPTCs , The Bahujan Samaj Party inj 10 and the BJP in 11. There are 40 Independent candidates are in the fray. A dozen ZPTCs will witness triangular fights with the CPI and BSP or the BJP fielding their candidates.
