Rath Yatra on June 27

The Chairman of the temple trust Board SV Ranga Rao and the Executive Officer N.Subbarao said that the annual ratha yatra celebrations of Sri Jagannadhaswamy temple which is of 150 years old would be held from June 27 to July 8.

The Rath Yatra festival would commence from 5pm on June 27. The idols of Lord Jagannadha, Bakabadra and Subhadra would be carried on the temple chariot to Turner's Poultry. They said that cultural programmes would be organized from during the period of festival. A sum of Rs.1.5 lakh would be spent on the arrangements for the ratha yatra. They expected the annual income was expected be Rs.13 lakhs for the current year.
