Award instituted by NGO World Environment Foundation

The Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), Visakhapatnam smelter received the prestigious Peacock Award for Environmental Management for 2006.

The award was instituted by New Delhi based NGO World Environment Foundation. The award was handed over to Smelter unit Head K.Siva Prasad by Himachal Pradesh Governor Kojke during the 8th World Congress on Environment Management held at Palampur recently.
