Personal Computer and other belongings seized
As part of nation wide operation, the officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid on a naval officer's residence on Friday. According to available sources, the raid was conducted on a Commander who was based in INS Rajput. The sources said that the officials of CBI seized officer's computer and other personal belongings.
The CBI Superintendent of Police, A Sai Manohar refused to divulge any information. The Naval officer is suspected to be among those who allegedly acted as a conduit for smuggling classified information related to Armed Forces through Arms dealer Abhishek Verma. The CBI has raided 19 locations in Delhi and its vicinity, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar.
