Surplus staff likely to be shifted to other municipalities

The vacancies in municipal bodies including those in the newly formed municipal and corporations would be filled up through outsourcing and with contract employees according to the Municipal Administration Minister, Koneru Ranga Rao said on Thursday.

Speaking to the Press, he said that measures like shifting surplus staff to other municipalities where the staff was in deficit, engaging the contract employees etc., will begin. He said that the Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation was included in the National Urban Development Renewal Mission and the Government also proposed to the Centre to include Warangal and Tirupati Corporations.
