College likely to be set up at Bheemunipatnam

An NRI doctor couple from the US will set up a medical college at Sangivalasa near Bheemunipatnam. Chairman of Neerukonda Educational Society (NES) NBR Prasad and his wife are setting up the medical college to an extent of 26 acres of land. The college is likely to become functional from the next academic year under the aegis of NES, which runs an engineering college near Bheemunipatnam for the last five years. The Society has already set up a 300 beg full fledged hospital which is attracting 500 patients a day as out patients. A super specialty hospital in the city was also being launched by the society he said.

The couple was felicitated earlier at a meeting conducted by the Vedic Seva Trust. Managing trustee P.Gopalakrishna Murty and former trustee M Ram Gopal lauded the efforts of the doctor couple in establishing a medical college. Former KGH Superintendent V.Hanumantharao, AMC Vice Principal C.Umamaheswararao and others participated on the occasion.
