User Charges for those travelling on National Highways

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation passengers have to pay user charges for traveling on the National Highways with effect from Wednesday midnight.

Till now the RTC has been paying the user charges to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) but in view of its financial condition, the additional burden caused because of the payment of the user charges called Toll Plaza User Fee will be collected from the passengers according to the APSRTC Regional Manager D.Satyanarayana. The user charges would be collected manually till the ticket issuing machines are suitably programmed.
