Workshop organized by GITAM
GITAM Engineering College on Friday organized a two-day national workshop on ‘Advances in Sensors and Applications’. The director of the Department of Electronics and Communication and chief guest of the event V. Bhujanga Rao spoke on the drastic and low cost compact sensors available for different working applications identifying the variations in organs and converting into digital outputs.
The sensors are an enabling force and multiplication technology and their applications are unlimited. In India, the availability of sensors is less and is usually imported. They are useful in minimizing damages during floods, tsunamis and earthquakes. Delegates from several academic and research institutions from across the country attended.
