Celebrations reach crescendo

The month long Christmas celebrations in the city by hundreds of churches and missionary organizations have reached a crescendo with the glittering, colourful and joyous observance at the midnight of Sunday.

The city is agog with festive mood with churches, ancient and modern illuminated, starts of David hanging all over the carol bands singing 'Silent Night, Holy Night, All is calm and All is bright'. Young boys and girls dressed in glittering costumes, caroling allover the presents of Christmas cakes and doing the last minute shopping present an awe-inspiring picture. The Visakhapatnam Pastors Fellowship, the local YMCA, Visakha Christian Choir and several Churches staged a traditional Christmas play 'The Nativity of Christ'.
