Speaking to press on Friday, the organizing secretary K. Suryanarayana said that it will host the 59th Men and 22nd Women Senior National Weightlifting Championship will be held at Swarna Bharati Stadium from December 10 to 14.

He said that nearly 230 men and 120 women weight lifters including Satish Rai, Vicky Bata, Geetha Rani and Sanamacha Chanu will compete for the Championship. Around 50 technical officials would come from all over the country and made all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Championship.
