All India Lawyers' Union makes suggestions
The All India Lawyers' Union (AILU) in its 7th biennial conference held suggested that the Central Government should establish a National Judicial Commission to streamline the functioning of the judiciary. In the conference, they stressed the need to establish to eradicate corruption and graft in judiciary. The AILU also sought steps to solve the problems of junior and lady advocates, curb police atrocities on advocates and public and enhance death benefit to Rs. 5 lakhs from Rs. 2 lakhs under the Advocates' Welfare Fund.
AILU State Committee general secretary K. Satyanarayana in a press release said that the conference e-dedicated itself to fight for the cause of advocates' community and downtrodden sections.
