50-men Guard of Honour given to Vice Admiral

Rich tributes were paid to the armed forces personnel who laid down their lives in Indo-Pak War of 1971, during Vijay Diwas celebrations at the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) on Saturday. Shipbuilding Centre Principal-director Vice-Admiral AK Kalra laid a wreath at the 'Amar Jawan Jyothi' on the Beach Road on behalf of the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief (FOC-in-C) Vice Admiral AK Singh.

INS Circars Commanding Officer Commodore GV Babu received the Vice Admiral Kala for the wreath laying ceremony. A 50 men guard of honour was given to Vice Admiral.

Defence services all over the country celebrate December 6 as Vijay Diwas to commemorate India's victory in 1971 war. On this day the Pakistani forces led by Lt.Gen.AAK Niazi surrendered to the commanders of Indian Armed Forces at Dhaka.
