Commanding Officer inspects ships at the company

Indian Naval Ship Circars, the flag ship of Eastern Naval Command, celebrated its 67th anniversary at the Naval Base on Tuesday. The ship was established on December 12, 1939 by the then British government for military operations off Visakhapatnam.

On the occasion, Commanding Officer Commodore GV Babu inspected the ships company at divisions and reviewed the parade. Speaking the gathering, he said that Circars being the base support establishment of ENC had numerous responsibilities to shoulder and assist in the smooth functioning of the command. He gave away proficiency awards to 17 sailors, DSC jawans and civilian employees in recognition of their dedication to the duty.
