SISI to organize five days camp

The Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) is organizing a five day training camp programme on 'Domestic and Export Marketing for Jute Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh' from Thursday. The programme will continue till September 4, 2006.

At the inaugural programme, Grater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner N Srikanth stressed the use of jute articles in place of plastic ones and that Visakhapatnam has a great potential to set up a jute factory. He said GVMC will support for manufacturing of jute.

More than 35 jute entrepreneurs from across the State have attended the programme. Experts from AU, GIFT, KVIC, banks etc., will be addressing in the five day long programme. The SISI will also organize a one month training programme on 'Fashion Designing' at Visakhapatnam from September 6 to October 5 at the Teens' Institute of Technology. Those interested with a minimum of SSC educational qualifications and above 18 years of age can participate in the training programme. The course fee is fixed to Rs.1000/- for general candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST and physically challenged candidates.
