Promotion scheme for PRC workers asked

The chief Director of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Planning P.Chattopadhyay on Friday said that the Population Research Centre at Andhra University (AU) was identified as the nodal PRC for carrying out a study on the functioning of ANM training schools in the Country.

Speaking after the inaugurating the seminar hall of the PRC where a two day meetings with representatives of other PRCs on the study would be held from Saturday. The ministry has recognized the competence and experience of the PRCs and hoped that they would continue to come out with good results.

The Vice Chancellor of AU L.Venugopal Reddy said that the staff of the PRCs were facing stagnation and asked the Chief Director to introduce a promotion scheme to enthuse and encourage those working in the PRCs.
