One among 60 candidates in the country

The Deputy Director and Scientist in-charge of the Regional Centre of National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), KSR Murty was awarded 'Bharat Excellence Award – 2006 by the Friendship Forum of India (FFI), a Delhi based social, cultural and literary organization. He was one among the 60 candidates across the country selected for this prestigious award for their achievements in different fields.

The awardees were felicitated at a function held at CD Deshmukh Memorial Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi coinciding with a one day national Seminar on ‘Economic Development and national unity.

The awards were presented by Mayor of New Delhi Farhad Suri and former Chief Election Commissioner GVG Krishna Murty in the presence of General Secretary of FFI Gopal Wahi.
