CMR-AITA Veterans Ranking Tournament inaugurated

Main draw matches to start from Monday

The Officers Club became the venue for the inaugural CMR – All India Tennis Association (AITA) National Veterans Ranking Tournament (also called the National Senior Ranking Tennis Championships) that began in Visakhapatnam. AP Technologies Services Chairman K Prasada Reddy inaugurated the events. Chairman and President of the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) PSN Raju and the Managing Director of CMR M Venkataramana were at inauguration program of the sporting events.

V Shankar, Delhi (above-45), V Rammohana Rao, Andhra Pradesh (above-55) and V Chiranjeevi, Andhra Pradesh (above-65) were confirmed for the main draw. The matches as a part of the qualifying rounds will be held on Saturday and Sunday while the main draws will begin from Monday. Tennis players from various parts of the country, including Delhi, Lucknow, Nasi, Mysore, Bangalore and Vellore are participating in the championships.
