Joint Collector inquires at accident spot

Four Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers died and nearly 20 persons were injured in an accident near Darjinagar between Anakapalli and Chodavaram on Saturday. The lorry in which they were going to their native place of Mamidipalli village of Anakapalli Mandal, after the filing of nominations, was hit from behind by another lorry when the later tried to overtake the ill fated vehicle.

Two TDP workers died on the spot while another two on the way to hospital. Joint Collector SK Sultania visited the accident spot and inquired about the accident and instructed the officials concerned for paying ex-Gratia to the deceased.
