Suresh Mehta, who will take over as the New Flag Officer Commanding in chief of the Eastern Naval Command on Friday, will pay tributes to martyrs by placing a wreath at the Navy War Memorial in the morning.

Vice Admiral Mehta takes over the command of ENC after a hectic five year stint in New Delhi during which period he had held various positions. Vice Admiral Mehta has been widely associated with the personnel policies of the Navy having held appointments of Assistant Chief of Personnel (HRD), Controller, Personnel Services and Chief of Personnel at the Naval Headquarters.
