The APCC president, K.Keshava Rao said on Wednesday that the State Government is prepared to spend any amount of money to provide basic amenities in towns and rural areas to improve the quality of life in those areas. He was kicking off the Congress campaign for the civic polls in north Andhra by addressing a public meeting at Tagarapuvalasa junction in Bheemunipatnam Municipality. He said that the Congress Government was committed to providing taps to each and every household at only Rs.100 per connection to reduce the burden on the people. He commented that the TDP was only interested in hi-tech development but had neglected the development of towns and rural areas.
