The Housing Board has no right to sell or auction the land allocated to it by Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority for establishment of its divisional office at MVP colony. In a statement, VUDA, Vice Chairman G.Venkataram Reddy has said that 3660 square yards of land was allotted to the Housing Board in 1980 atRs.40 per square yard. However, the right to auction or sell the land in any manner has not been given to the Housing Board. He said that entry intro all VUDA parks, including Kalasagiri will be free on Tuesday to mark World Environment Day.
