The General Manager of Hindustan Zinc Limited DK Ghosh has said the company will extend funds to the tune of Rs.2.25 crore for the rehabilitation of displaced villagers of Chukkavanipalem.

Mr.Ghosh handed over a cheque for Rs.1 crore as the first instalment to the District Collector, Praveen Prakash at his chamber on Monday. He said that the remaining amount would be handed over soon. The District Collector said that Chukkavanipalem would be declared a commercial zone and henceforth no one would be allowed to construct residential houses in that village.
