The District Women and Child Welfare Department has sought applications from eligible children and youth for bravery awards. The applicants can contest for national awards. The applicants would be considered for acts of bravery that occurred between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005.

The contestants should be aged between six and 18 year, an FIR should have been lodged in a police station regarding the incident and newspaper clippings of the incident should be submitted along with the application. The applications should be sent to the Project Director, District Women and Child welfare Department, Sector 6, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam by September 8, 2005.
