Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant posted the best ever half yearly performance on all fronts since inception during April-September financial year. According to a VSP spokesman, all major production units continued to perform well beyond their rated capacities ranging from 120 to 122 per cent.

The total sales stood at Rs.3737 crores, registering a 11 per cent jump over the sales of H-1 of the previous financial year. This included Rs.139 crores of export sales. On the techno economic front, best performances were recorded in areas like energy, water and refractory consumption and labor productivity was 271 tonnes per manyears.
