The District Administration has made all necessary arrangements to sell onion through Rythu Bazaars counters in Visakhapatnam and Gajuwaka at the rate of Rs.7 per kg and each family would be supplied 1 kg onion per week. The number of counters in the 11 Rythu Bazzars will be increased from 46 to 60. This new sale will begin from Tuesday.
Counters will also be opened at the 46 designated photo lamination centers at which old Ration Cards are being issued. They will start functioning from Wednesday according to the Joint Collector. The Civil Supplies Officials will monitor the sale by visiting the Rythu Bazaars at 5.30am every day.
