Speaking to press on the occasion of the fifth BSNL Day celebrations on Saturday, Telecom District General Manager, J.Ganta said that the response to BSNL broandband connection is overwhelming with monthly tariff half from Rs.500 to Rs.250. He said that the Internet connections had increased to 17,000. On the waiting list for modems, he said that the entire waiting list of 850 would be cleared in the next few days.

He also said that WLL phone exchange with one lakh lines would be commissioned within next two months.
