The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is ready to sign a memorandum of understanding with the GITAM College of Engineering in the areas of industrial research and consultancy according to the Chairman and Managing Director of the VSP Y.Siva Sagar Rao said on Tuesday.
He made this announcement while inaugurating the GITAM industry open house a one day seminar on testing and industrial consultancy in the college premises. He said more cooperation is required between the industry and academic institutions to produce quality personnel and for industrial development.
The CMD expected that with the expansion of the plant and HPCL’s Visakha Refinery, establishment of Pharma City and the Special Economic Zone, and along with several industries in IT sector, the city will be propelled into a big league. GITAM vice president V.Seetharamiah presided over the function.
