The organizing committee of Visakha Utsav has decided to call for entries for a new mascot, a theme song and backdrop design for the celebration. Anyone from the city and district may send their entries reflecting the city’s culture, prominent places in the district and important events.

Entries selected in the respective categories will be given a cash prize of Rs.5,000 each according the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority Vice Chairman and organizing committee co-chairman G.Venkataram Reddy.

A mascot in A3 size and backdrop design in poster size would be exhibited at the VUDA Children’s Theatre at 3pm on November 22 for selection. A DTP copy of the theme song should be submitted to the VUDA Vice Chairman by November 30.
