Andhra Pradesh Lok Ayukta Justice R.Ramanujam on Saturday directed the RDO of Narsipatnam to personally visit a village in the agency area and examine the complaint of deaths due to contaminated bore well water. Justice Ramanujam who is holding a camp since Thursday directed the RDO and submit a report. The RDO sent the Golugonda MRO to the village and on Saturday submitted the report prepared by the MRO. The Lok Ayukta was not happy to follow his earlier directions of himself to visit the village and submit a report.
In another case, the Commissioner of Police, VSK Kaumudi submitted a report to the Lok Ayaukta in person in the case of alleged impersonation of a petitioner in the magistrate’s court to obtain a decree. In this case, a person who filed a case in a court was shocked to see a decree awarded against him and came to know that he was impersonated in the court during course of the case the opposite party obtained the decree in its favor.
He filed a complaint with the court and the magistrates ordered the police to book a case under Cr.P.C. and investigate but the petitioner suspected that the police were being pressurized not to investigate the case and faxed a petition to the Lok Ayukta. Responding the petition, the Lok Ayukta directed the Commissioner of Police to submit a report and accordingly the Commissioner submitted the report. Justice Ramanujam said that petitions could be sent to the Lok Ayukta at Bashirbagh, Hyderabad or faxed to it on fax no. 253299098. He said that the allegations must be clear and the petitioner must mention the name of the official position of the person against whom the complaints being made.
