Visakhapatnam, November 9, 2005
Nearly 1 lakh houses would be grounded under the Rajiv Guhakalpa Scheme by January 2006 according to the District Collector Praveen Prakash said on Wednesday. The process of receiving applications for allotment of units under the Rajiv Guhakalpa would commence in December. The scheme will be taken up at Pendurthi, Anakapalle, Gajuwaka and other areas also, he said.
The District Collector along with the Joint Collector made a surprise inspection of the housing scheme coming up at Paradesipalem. He said that the units would be allotted to the class four employees of public sector undertakings also.
The second phase would have units for the middle income group and higher income group He assured that quality would be maintained in construction of housing units. The District Collector visited the Rajiv Internet Village at Madhurawada and suggested some measures to improve the functioning of the facility.
