Visakhapatnam, November 3, 2005
Meet the SP program was launched in the District Police Office on Thursday. The aim of the program is that the lower cadre police personnel could directly meet the Superintendent of Police to submit their pleas on personal and departmental problems.
The program is aiming to eliminate departmental problems that constables are currently facing. The program was held at the Armed Reserve Police stadium which attracted several constables from different parts of the city. The SP VV Srinivasa Rao spent nearly six hours personally receiving the petitions and listening to the police personnel. The issues raised by the constables were solved immediately brining a lot of cheer and happiness to them.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (Armed Reserve) BVS Raju and other top police officials participated in the program. Rural people could directly submit their petitions to officers of the rank of Additional SP or DSP in the weekly Petitioners Day program being launched by the district police at Anakapalle on November 7. The program to be held every Monday is meant to understand the problems of rural people and speed up disposal of complaints.
