Visakhapatnam, November 16, 2005
The Andhra Pradesh Road Transpot Corporation (APSRTC) Vijayawada Region is introducing a Garuda service between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam with two halts a Ravulapalem and Annavaram. The new bus will start in the city at 10.30pm and reach Visakhapatnam by 5.0am and in its return journey, the bus will start in Visakhapatnam at 12 noon and reach Vijayawada by 7pm.
The authorities are also introducing ordinary services to Hyderabad and Rajahmundry to attract more common man traveling on the National Highway. Meanwhile, due to the good response to the Pancharama service, a special bus service for the pilgrims visiting famous temples in and around Krishna district, the RTC authorities plan to make the service more flexible in view of he huge rush during the ongoing Kartika month.
At present, the RTC has operated 37 Pancharama services and it earned additional revenue of Rs.4 lakhs.
