Dengue fever which is rampant in the city has spread to Ukunagaram-the Township of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Five cases have been registered and admitted with fever in the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant General Hospital in the last few days.

Of the five cases, four dengue positive patients have been shifted to corporate hospitals in the city immediately for further medical care, and one patient is on the path of recovery at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant General Hospital.

According to the spokesman from Steel Plant, the Management was taking all precautionary steps to arrest the dreaded disease like fogging in and around the township, providing mosquito repellent in the hospital wars and educating township residents by distributing leaflets and making announcements on the Cable Television.
