The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh and Home Secretary will review the progress of the works relating to the Presidential Fleet Review to be conducted on February 12. They will review in the same in the next week. Speaking to the press on Wednesday, the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet Sanjeev Bhasin said that tremendous support was forthcoming from the State Government for the event.
The Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy himself chaired a meeting on this recently and promised all support he said. He said that 45 ships from the Western and Eastern Naval Commands would participate in the review. Navies of several countries in the Malacca Straits region will come together in ‘Milan’, a major Annual Naval event, in January off Andaman and Microbar Islands, he said.
