Visakhapatnam, November 12, 2005
An executive engineer of the BSNL Rakesh Prasad in Vijayawada was nabbed by the CBI on Friday while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.3,000 from an industrialist.
According to CBI Superintendent of Police A.Sai Manohar here, the engineer had demanded the bribe for recommending payment of the final bill amount of about Rs.70,000 in connection with providing electrical fittings in the inspection quarters of the BSNL office at Gunnipudi in Bhimavaram. Investigation is going on.
