An eleven member Technical Team from Volkswagen, the German Auto major, left the city for Hyderabad on Thursday after a two day preliminary study on the feasibility of establishing car unit. The team went on an inspection spree to verify the claim of the State Government that Visakhapatnam is conducive for setting up of Volkswagen's unit.
According to sources the team would submit its report to the management of the company. The team members visited some corporate hospitals and colleges. They inspected Visakhapatnam port and the site proposed at Aganampudi near Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
The District Collector briefed the team regarding the facilities available in the district.
