The decision of Satyam, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Service to launch their operations in and around Visakhapatnam is bound to put the city in the world IT map soon. Satyam Computers has already launched work on developing an IT park at the TB hospital site and a training centre on 50 acres near Rushikonda will certainly send the word across the globe that Visakhapatnam is an IT hub in the marketing. There are nearly 13 engineering colleges located in and around the city producing prospective IT professions to meet the requirement of IT Firms.
The Visakhapatnam IT Association see that the IT hub as the fruition of eight years of persuasion and effort. The President of the Miracle Software System’s President and CEO told press persons on Thursday that several small and medium information technology enterprises are expected to come up and to begin with, 20 companies are likely to set up shot at the hub with a total investment of Rs. 350 crores providing 8000 jobs.
