A hi-tech sex racket has been busted in the city at a building let out by an IPS officer and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, K.Lakshmi Reddy checked into a private guesthouse as a decoy.

Following a raid, seven women and 15 men including a couple who migrated from Bangalore and began the trade three years ago were apprehended on Saturday. The police are also continuing raids in MVP Colony and other areas where the couple was allegedly running brothels.

The alleged kingpin behind the racket, Satish and Anita were picked up by the police. Some persons escaped when a raid was conducted on the guesthouse after the DCP alerted the policemen positioned at the nearby Tennati Park.
