The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, S.Jaipal Reddy speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of ‘Vajrotsavam’ of Goutu Latchanna said that the 97 year old Sardr Goutu Latchanna as the greatest surviving soldier of Dandi march on Tuesday.
He announced that a tele documentary would be made on the veteran freedom fighter’s life and work. In his times, Sardar Latchanna had a unique style of functioning and fought relentlessly for the uplift of downtrodden and to build a constructive opposition to the ruling party.
The Minister for Commercial Taxes, Konathala Ramakrishna who presided described him as a living legend. MP N.Janardhana Reddy, Minister for Endowments, M.Satyanarayanarao, former judge of AP High Court, BS Swamy, TDP parliamentary leader K.Yerrannaidu spoke on the occasion.
