The district unit of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee alleged that a tribal student of a private college at Pendurthy was whisked away by the Greyhounds personnel at Garikabanda and demanded his release.
The Secretary of the district APCLC, T.Sreerama Murty alleged that K.Rangarao, a native of Nerelllabanda in GK Veedhi mandal who was younger brother of Mahesh, a commander of the CPI (Maoist) was taken away by the Greyhounds on 10 th May while he was on a visit to his relatives place. They demanded for the immediate release of Ranga Rao or produce him a court of law if there were any allegations against him.
