Special pujas and Abhishekams were performed

Mahasivaratri was celebrated with devotional fevour in the city. Long queues of devotees were witnessed in front of Siva temples from early morning and special pujas and abhishekams were performed to the deity. The biggest attraction, however, was the huge Sivalinga on the RK Beach made of 1 crore and 8 lakh smaller Sivalings at the 20th Mahakumbabhishekeam, the annual feature of the Bharat Yagna Peetham, in which the TTD Chairman and MP T.Subbiramireddy took part in the function.
